Innovation

Exploring new ways to build, live and experience spaces.

Alongside our architectural practice we develop construction systems, products and future living concepts. This is where research, prototypes and applied technology sit together — work that expands what architecture can be built from.

Illyricum Tech panel system applied to a modern house facade

The System

A wall, 3 in 1.

Illyricum Tech is an advanced construction system built from an EPS core combined with galvanized steel wire mesh. A single panel delivers structure, insulation and seismic safety at once — replacing several separate trades and layers of a conventional build.

Panels arrive prefabricated and are assembled on site, then finished with cement mortar. The result is a lightweight, thermally efficient and fire-rated structure erected considerably faster than masonry or cast-in-place construction.

Panel Composition

01

Galvanized steel mesh

Two factory-welded galvanized steel meshes, connected with steel ties, form the load-bearing structure of the panel.

02

EPS core

An EPS core placed between the meshes provides high thermal and acoustic insulation.

03

Cement mortar layers

Cement mortar applied to both faces creates the final structural element.

Why It Is Different

One element instead of many.

Conventional construction builds a wall in stages: structure, then insulation, then finishing — each with its own crew, tolerance and cost. Illyricum Tech consolidates them into one prefabricated element that is lighter to transport, faster to erect and continuous in its insulation, with no thermal bridges between layers.

Ecolux Capsule beside an alpine lake — modular living unit designed by Section Architecture

Ecolux Capsule

Design, Visualization & Branding

Ecolux Capsule was designed by Section Architecture from the first sketch — concept, architecture, interior layout, visualization and brand identity are entirely our own work. A self-contained capsule that can be placed on sensitive terrain with minimal intervention.

The design is patented and continues as an independent brand with its own platform.
